I don’t know who you are, but thank you for the 4- and 5-star reviews on Goodreads and Amazon. I can’t tell you how much it means to see reviews telling me you enjoyed the book. My favorites are the ones that say, “I couldn’t put the book down” and “It reads like a film.”
Those are the kinds of books I enjoy reading, too!
Trust me when I say, the book didn’t start that way. Writing is a process. In my case, it was a loooooong process. It took five years to get A Talent Within out in the world. The amazing part is how different the first draft was from the final draft. And that didn’t happen in a vacuum.
Yes, I wrote all the words in my living room, but I drew on the experience of friends who were authors and readers to make it better with each revision. And once it got to the publisher, another group of editors made it even better.
So those reviews and ratings are a way for readers to tell me what they like about my book, and in turn, I draw inspiration to keep writing.
Will you do me a favor?
